By accessing or using Skycord's services (“Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services. These Terms apply to all users, including community owners, members, and creators.
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Skycord. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Services on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@skycord.space if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not share your account, create accounts through automated means, or use accounts for deceptive purposes.
You agree not to use the Services to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
You retain ownership of content you post on Skycord. By posting content, you grant Skycord a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to provide the Services.
You are solely responsible for your content. Skycord does not endorse any user content and is not liable for it.
Community owners may enable subscription monetisation for their server. Skycord charges a 5% platform fee on all creator revenue. The remaining 95% is paid out to creators via Stripe or Wise according to the payout schedule in your Creator Dashboard.
You are responsible for all applicable taxes on your earnings. Skycord will provide relevant documentation (e.g., 1099-K) as required by law.
Skycord and its licensors own all rights in the Services, including all software, trademarks, and documentation. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use Skycord trademarks without prior written consent.
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Skycord server software is available under an open-source licence. Self-hosted instances must comply with the licence terms, must not misrepresent themselves as official Skycord infrastructure, and may not use the Skycord brand without written permission.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SKYCORD DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SKYCORD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco, California.
Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@skycord.space. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Services after that date constitutes acceptance.
